Krystal Marie Ball
Krystal Marie Balm (born November 24, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a presidential candidate, and also a television host at MSNBC, a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former co-host of the show The Hill's Rising together with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball decided to end the show in May 2021. This was necessary for the release of Breaking Points (Krystal and Saagar). Ball is a cohost of the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. Her guest appearances include on Fox News, CNN and Fox News. Ball is currently married to Jonathan Dariyanani, as of 2020. Ball is able to attribute her new political interest to her experience after becoming pregnant during the 2008 presidential primaries, and watching the results of the 2008 US presidential election while working in Jordan. She witnessed how it affected the people in that country, and came to appreciate for US political influence across the globe. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party nominee for Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional district in the 2010 election, losing to Republican incumbent Rob Wittman. She was co-host of the MSNBC show The Cycle from June 2012 to July 2015. She founded the People's House Project (a political action committee that is dedicated to Democratic causes) in May of 2017.
