Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19 1965. She is an American producer and actress. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The seventh season of the show ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her regular role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian, with English heritage. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
